Meet the Team: Sean Hayes

January 23, 2025  by Alaina Salas

Meet Sean Hayes, the newest addition to the Tri-Marq Communications team, bringing a fresh perspective in addition to his wealth of experience in the event industry. Sean received a business major from UW-Platteville, however, it was his background in theater technology during high school and college that ignited his passion for merging technology with creativity and kicked off his career in live events. While he might be new to the Tri-Marq team, Sean is no novice when it comes to event audiovisual. With 15 years of professional experience under his belt, Sean is adept at using technology to transform ideas into action and creating immersive experiences for our audiences. While the technical aspects of his work fuel his passion, it’s working with his talented, passionate, and fun colleagues that truly brings him joy in his projects.

Outside of the office, Sean is a proud husband and a father of two. He has a life goal to visit all the US National Parks, and spends his free time outdoors camping, hiking, and biking. He also indulges in hobbies like photography and woodworking. Recently, he’s taken up the art of smoking meats, adding a flavorful dimension to his already extensive list of extracurriculars. And when it’s time to unwind, Sean is always up for a game of cribbage, embracing his competitive side.

In Sean’s world, there is one prevalent motto: “No Coffee – No Workee.” With Sean’s packed schedule, it’s no surprise that a cup of joe is a must to recharge. We appreciate all that Sean has already done to step up to the plate at Tri-Marq and value his innovative contributions and the collaborative spirit he brings to our team.

If you’ve been following along with our @conexpoco If you’ve been following along with our @conexpoconagg 2026 mini-series, then you know that this year’s trade show introduced the Ground Breakers Keynote Stage. Tri-Marq designed and built the stage, created graphics, and managed show production at the stage to make the most of every minute on-site. Each day featured leadership keynote speakers from the top companies in construction, AI, robotics, and tech. With 6 cameras on-site, the Tri-Marq team was able to catch, and live stream, all the action.

While our meeting and event team was hard at work While our meeting and event team was hard at work managing the Ground Breakers Stage at CECA, our video crews were covering 3-million square feet on the grounds (and in the sky with drones and helicopter!) at @conexpoconagg. The team of 18 included producers, videographers and editors—all on-site—capturing footage and editing. Not only did we create multiple videos for CECA, we also produced 20 videos for 8 clients that aired across the event, around the city, on social media, and even on the Las Vegas strip!

In a world where financial literacy is financial freedom, @northwesternmutual wanted to create this video to encourage women to take their financial future into their own hands and advocate for their own education. We were proud to help create this project with NM by handling motion graphics and animation, talent casting, and video and sound editing. Happy Women’s History Month!
