Meet Dan Kosan, our accomplished Senior Editor and Post-Production Supervisor who has been a part of the Tri-Marq team for 17 years. Dan is a graduate of Marquette University, where he majored in Broadcast and Electronic Communication and minored in Psychology. During his time at Marquette, he honed his skills as a Production Director and Station Manager for the university’s television station. Dan has a rich professional background, having worked for the Milwaukee Brewers and contributed to A&E’s Cold Case Files. He attributes his success to the mentorship he’s received over the past quarter-century, insisting that he stands on their shoulders. The team-oriented production values he learned at Marquette continue to inspire him in this business, championing the idea that collective success outweighs individual accomplishments.
Off the clock, Dan is a devoted husband and father, cherishing his outdoor adventures with his son and daughter. Born and raised in Chicago, Dan is a proud Chicagoan at heart. His humanitarian streak shines through in his fundraising efforts for the Let Them Play Foundation and SAY, The Stuttering Association for the Young. Dan is a food enthusiast who enjoys pairing good meals with great drinks, especially when shared with friends. And let’s not forget his sporting loyalties: influenced by his life as a Chicago resident and time at Marquette University, he’s a lifelong supporter of Marquette Basketball and the Chicago Bears.
Dan’s life philosophy is a quote by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin: “Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides, and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.” Dan’s dedication, production skills, and Chicago spirit make him an irreplaceable member of our Tri-Marq team. We’re fortunate to have Dan leading our editing efforts and look forward to the continued leadership he brings to the table.
