And the Award Goes To…

December 13, 2023  by Alaina Salas

Over the years, we’ve been lucky to be recognized with several awards, including an Emmy, various Telly Awards, Advertising Awards, and Parent’s Choice Awards among many others. Some are well-known awards; some are more industry-specific.

In the early days of Tri-Marq, our production of High Top Tower was awarded an Emmy in the Best Children’s Series category. Taking a rather heavy topic and spinning it into a format digestible for children, we developed a six-part series that aimed to teach children and their parents about the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse in addition to fostering communication and discussion. Tri-Marq produced the series in conjunction with Triton College in River Grove Illinois, the Prevention Resource Center, Inc., and the Illinois Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. High Top Tower also received the Recognition for Excellence at the American Film & Video Festival and the Recognition for Excellence from the U.S. Department of Education Awards. After these early successes in our career, we were able to keep the ball rolling and accept awards for many other works as the years progressed.

In April 2005, Chris and Jim were both deeply touched to be honored with an award that was near and dear to their hearts – the James T. Tiedge Memorial Award. Given to members of their alma mater, Marquette University, the award honors MU alumni whose professional lives reflect the values Dr. James Tiedge lived and taught, focusing on the social responsibility of media professionals. Jim and Chris were excited and humbled to be recognized by the school in the name of the man who helped spark their careers.

In addition to the Emmy and Tiedge Memorial Award, our work at Tri-Marq has been awarded a wide variety of other awards over the course of our three-and-a-half decades, including numerous Telly Awards, Summit Awards, a Parent’s Choice Award, National Business Marketing Association Bell Awards, Addy Awards, the Videographer Award, the Platinum Best of Show Aurora Award, AAF Advertising Awards, and more.

We don’t produce videos to win awards, but we’re extremely proud to be a company brimming with incredible talent that consistently produces eye-catching and award-winning content. Furthermore, we’re honored that our contributions have been recognized by great minds like those at Marquette University and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

While our meeting and event team was hard at work While our meeting and event team was hard at work managing the Ground Breakers Stage at CECA, our video crews were covering 3-million square feet on the grounds (and in the sky with drones and helicopter!) at @conexpoconagg. The team of 18 included producers, videographers and editors—all on-site—capturing footage and editing. Not only did we create multiple videos for CECA, we also produced 20 videos for 8 clients that aired across the event, around the city, on social media, and even on the Las Vegas strip!

It’s Women’s History Month, so we wanted to shift It’s Women’s History Month, so we wanted to shift our focus to work that we’ve created for our clients to help empower and educate women. In a world where financial literacy is financial freedom, @northwesternmutual wanted to create this video to encourage women to take their financial future into their own hands and advocate for their own education. We were proud to help create this project with NM by handling motion graphics and animation, talent casting, and video and sound editing. Happy Women’s History Month!
