Mix it Up | Making Repeat Venues Feel Fresh

At Tri-Marq, we pride ourselves on having worked with many of our clients for years. We’ve built strong partnerships by being the reliable event production experts in the room, trusted to bring their vision to life, year after year.

That said, it’s not uncommon for some of our clients to host events in the same venue. Whether it’s a hotel ballroom, conference center, or performing arts space, we’ve been there (probably more than once). As full-service event producers, it’s our job to make one event space custom-tailored for each client, bringing in their brand voice and image to each event. 

And when we work with the same client in the same venue year after year, we treat it like a creative challenge—and we love a good challenge. 

Same Space, Different Client

Just like with people, no two brands are exactly alike, even if they’re walking into the same room. When one client hosts a leadership summit in a venue on Monday, and another hosts their sales meeting in the same place on Friday, our job is to make each space feel unique.

A fresh color palette, strategic lighting, branded gobos, and digital signage shift the feel of a ballroom. Your event should look and feel like you, and that’s exactly what we deliver.

One such space is the Monona Terrace in Madison. As a popular event venue, we have several different clients who use this space for their meetings and conferences. We take on the job of customizing it individually for each client to take the same ballroom and create a new experience. Same Space, Same Client

We’ve reimagined ballroom layouts, introduced new technology, and refreshed stage designs to give returning attendees something they haven’t seen before. Sometimes it’s as simple as rotating where the stage sits in the room. Other times, it’s adding interactive elements or upgraded AV for a next-level experience.

No matter how many times we’ve worked in a venue, our approach stays the same: we build each event from the ground up, tailored to the client, the audience, and the story they want to tell.

Take KI, for example. KI hosted their annual International Sales Meeting at the KI Center in Green Bay for years. Tri-Marq had a blast producing the event year after year, and crafting a new way to wow the audience, despite the repeat venue.

Another client we work with that consistently hosts events in the same ballroom is Marquette University. The Monaghan Ballroom on campus is the premier spot for hosting special events and galas. Tri-Marq works with Marquette to ensure the events have a new, fresh look to prevent audiences from feeling bored.

It’s Women’s History Month, so we wanted to shift It’s Women’s History Month, so we wanted to shift our focus to work that we’ve created for our clients to help empower and educate women. In a world where financial literacy is financial freedom, @northwesternmutual wanted to create this video to encourage women to take their financial future into their own hands and advocate for their own education. We were proud to help create this project with NM by handling motion graphics and animation, talent casting, and video and sound editing. Happy Women’s History Month!
