Next on the list of our Meet the Team series is Amy Dean, one of our event producers who has been working with Tri-Marq for almost 15 years. Amy’s journey with us began in 2009 where she worked on many event and video projects until 2016 where she took some time to spend with her first daughter. She is a proud graduate of Marquette University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast & Electronic Communication with a Minor in Marketing. Amy’s time at Marquette also allowed her to spend some time in Australia, where she studied abroad in Sydney for a semester. Amy’s inclination towards the video production world was fostered during her college internship and her time as a bartender helped to shape her people skills – a trait she treasures as a producer. Her favorite part of event production is helping others. Having grown up in a family of ‘helpers,’ Amy loves meeting new people and going above and beyond expectations.
Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Amy’s commitment to her community is evident through her extensive volunteer work ranging from serving as the Communications Director for the Muddy Waters MOJO Museum to being an advocate for maternal health, where her work presented a joint resolution in the WI State Assembly and Senate declaring May 2019 as “Wisconsin Motherhood Month.” In her personal life, Amy is a mother to two children whom she adores and often takes trips to visit her family in Georgia and Arizona. Family activities for the Dean household include cooking, camping, hiking, and biking. Amy loves to garden, but when she spends time indoors, she also enjoys writing. She recently wrote a children’s book titled, ‘The Culinary Kid Makes Soup’ and is currently working on the second book. To top off her already busy schedule, Amy is actively involved in opening a blues museum in Chicago, dedicated to the father of modern-day blues, Muddy Waters.
Amy chooses to live by these words: “You never really know what people are going through, so treat people with respect and kindness.” Her philosophy is simple and reflects her kind nature, commitment to service, and her life as a mother. Thank you for 15 years of great work, Amy! We cherish your kindness and creativity, and we are so happy to have you as part of the Tri-Marq team.
