Another Telly Award for Tri-Marq!

May 20, 2014  by Betsy Johnson

Tri-Marq was honored with another Bronze Telly Award for our work on our latest production, Superheroes, for our client the Marquette University Golden Eagles.

The Tri-Marq creative team led by Amy Wrobel and Dan Kosan, pulled out all of the stops (and gadgets) for this year’s heroes video – and we couldn’t have done it without Director of Photography, Robb Fischer’s amazing cinematography and creative collaboration.

To create the players in a Superhero’s world, we dove into the latest tech. In order to get the effects we wanted, we often shot at 240 FPS on the RED EPIC and with multiple different camera rigs. With visual effects and compositing, we created our main Superhero, Chris Otule, on top of the roof. Then for a more dramatic hero effect, we created a false eye color and imitated an earth-shaking effect around our Hero’s landing. Although there was no need for special effects when Otule revealed the MU jersey – he performed like a Superhero.

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs.

We filmed and produced this recap video to recap the event and the experience of its over 22,000 attendees by capturing b-roll footage, as well as several interviews, over the course of the 3-day event.

By combining on-site interviews, showcasing the attendee experience, with dynamic b-roll, drone footage, and motion graphics, we brought the full Utility Expo experience to life.

This summer, we spent a day with Peyton Bornemann This summer, we spent a day with Peyton Bornemann and her family, capturing her story of courage and survival. In our work with @themaccfund each year, we have the chance to get to know some of the strongest kids in our area and how their lives have been impacted by the generosity of the MACC Fund and its supporters. We capture their stories to share at the annual Designed to Inspire fundraising event benefitting children who face cancer and other blood-related disorders. This year’s story features Peyton and the Bornemann family — with a little help from her horse, Maggie. We’re honored to help bring her story, and the MACC Fund’s mission, to life.💛
