Beyond the Screen & Stage | Event Media Production: Episode 5 – Recap Videos

March 4, 2024  by Alaina Salas

Happy faces, instant AV, wrap-ups, recaps, whatever you like to call them, we like to produce them. The next segment of our live event video production series we focus on recap videos. The first on the list is North America’s largest construction trade show, CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

CECA 2023 recap:

Every three years, this showcase of industry innovation and excellence brings roughly 140,000 attendees and over 2,400 exhibitors to Las Vegas, NV. Our long-time client, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), entrusts us with capturing the essence of this event through video. While on scene, we capture the footage in a variety of ways including traditional on-ground camera work, aerial footage from a helicopter, and this year, we added a new component to the shoot – drone footage. We aim to capture footage of the impressive expanse of products, live testimonials from attendees, product demonstrations, and the overall experience. Our team compiles the footage after the week-long event to create a visually exciting and informative recap video.

MU ANA:

Tri-Marq is proud to share the 2019  Marquette University Alumni National Awards wrap-up video as another example of our recap videos feature. Each year, the university honors 65 alumni across 12 separate luncheons culminating in one black tie dinner meant to showcase all the award winners. We send our video crews to all 12 celebrations to capture the excitement and celebration honoring the alumni. The video then airs during the Black Tie event to celebrate these alumni who came from around the world to share their success stories and their families and friends who stood by them to cheer them on.

Solera 2022:

As our final feature in the recap videos category, Solera Holdings, LLC (Solera) held their annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2022.  Solera staff came together at the Hyatt Regency hotel to celebrate the merge of Solera and Omnitracs.

The event kicked off New Orleans-style with a brass band, dancers, and more. Throughout the week, attendees experienced several keynote speaker sessions and bonding experiences while forging new connections. Keynote speakers including Frank Abagnale, the man inspiring Catch Me if You Can, Roni Taylor, Alberto Cairo, and Garry Golden took to the stage to lead the guests through thought-provoking lessons.

To create the atmosphere, Tri-Marq brought the brand to life through large LED walls connected with Titan Tubes, custom motion graphics and all show management necessary for the weeklong conference. Tri-Marq handled all show management, pre-production, site visits, CAD room drawings for layout details, managed run-of-show duties on site including speaker rehearsals. Tri-Marq also had a video crew on-site to handle capturing footage and producing a recap video.

Next week, in our 6th and final feature of our event video production series, we’ll look at different examples of pre-produced videos!

By sharing the experiences of real program participants, customers, or employees, interview-based videos build credibility with your audience and spread awareness about your program or product.

Each year, we work with Aurora Health Care to create a series of videos showcasing the experiences of the Residents in the Graduate Medical Education programs. The videos are a great tool for attracting prospective residents and demonstrating what sets Aurora apart from other graduate programs.
