Meet the Team: Alaina Salas

October 14, 2024  by Betsy Johnson

Meet Alaina Salas, our vibrant Marketing Assistant who joined the Tri-Marq Communications team just over two years ago. Alaina is a proud alumna of St. Norbert College, where she majored in Communication and Media Studies, and minored in English and Spanish, graduating Summa Cum Laude. As a two-time cheer team captain and a dedicated member of the Spanish Club at St. Norbert, Alaina has always been driven to excel. Her passion for small businesses is what led her to Tri-Marq, and she has swiftly made her mark here. Alaina built an extensive background managing social media throughout her time at her internship, a skill that she now makes use of here at Tri-Marq. Her favorite project so far has been revitalizing our website, where she found great satisfaction in seeing her ideas come to life.

Beyond her professional life, Alaina is quite the adventurist. She has an older sister and loves to travel, boasting a stamp-filled passport with visits to Costa Rica, Ireland, England, Scotland, the Philippines, and New Zealand. Showcasing her well-rounded talents, she once performed at Carnegie Hall under the direction of renowned composer, John Rutter. Closer to home, Alaina spent two years as a cheerleader for Green Bay Packer home games and worked at a winery selling entirely Wisconsin-grown grapes. In addition to her work at Tri-Marq, Alaina has spent time doing volunteer work at Danz Elementary School, teaching bilingual kindergarten classes. In her leisure time, she loves cheering on her parents during triathlons, thrifting for her apartment decor, and discovering new breweries in the Milwaukee area.

A quote that sticks with Alaina is, “I see the sun, and if I don’t see the sun, I know it’s there.” from The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky.  Alaina’s vibrant energy and dedication are infectious, and we are fortunate to have her as a part of the Tri-Marq team. As she continues to evolve in her role, we enjoy the creativity and enthusiasm she brings to every project she undertakes.

The @wilson.center.arts continues to shine as a co The @wilson.center.arts continues to shine as a cornerstone of creativity and community in Greater Milwaukee. Each year, their "Big Event" brings together supporters to celebrate the power of the arts and the impact of their programming.

Tri-Marq was proud to once again collaborate with the Center to produce two custom videos: one designed to air at the gala, and another evergreen anthem to carry their message year-round.

This year's video tells the story of how the Center came to be and the benefits they have received from our community, as well as fellow artists. By blending custom graphic visuals with archival and current footage, the videos help tell the story of the Center’s mission—and serve as powerful tools for both awareness and fundraising.

Tri-Marq sat down with graduate medical education students at @aurorahealthcare who are in their Transitional Year program to hear stories about their time at Aurora. Utilizing one location-shoot day and a 6-person crew with a 4-camera set, we captured the graduates in a roundtable style. This creative approach captures their conversation in a natural way, allowing them to organically tell stories and experiences, leading the GME program. The roundtable style keeps authenticity at the forefront and encourages audiences to stay engaged with the story, making the video more effective for marketing and recruiting purposes. With the wide range of content recorded, we created additional short, digestible clips that are repurposed for social media.
